OUR STORY
Built to Serve. Called to Excellence.
Living Stone Design & Finishing was founded on a simple belief: your home deserves to be treated with the same respect and care you’d give it yourself.
MEET TIM
A Craftsman Who Takes His Work Personally
I’m Tim, owner and founder of Living Stone Design & Finishing. I started this company because I believe painting is more than a trade — it’s a form of service. Every home I work in matters to the family that lives there, and that means it matters to me.
Based in St. Joseph, Illinois, I serve homeowners across Champaign, Urbana, Savoy, Mahomet, Sidney, Ogden, and surrounding communities. Whether it’s one room or a whole-house refresh, I bring the same standard: thorough preparation, quality materials, and craftsmanship I’m willing to put my name on.
My faith is the foundation of how I operate. I show up on time, communicate clearly, treat your home with respect, and don’t walk away until the job is truly finished. That’s not just good business — that’s the right way to do things.
✦
“Like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house.”
1 PETER 2:5
This verse names the company, but it also captures the way I see my work — each project is a small act of building something lasting for a family. That sense of purpose is what gets me up in the morning.
How We Work
01
We Prepare Properly
80% of a great paint job is in the prep. We take the time to clean, sand, patch, caulk, and prime every surface before a brush or roller touches the wall.
02
We Communicate Clearly
You’ll always know what’s happening, when we’re coming, and what to expect. No guessing, no chasing — just clear, honest communication from start to finish.
03
We Finish What We Start
We do a final walkthrough with every client. If anything isn’t right, we fix it. We don’t consider a job complete until you’re completely satisfied.
Let’s Work Together
